My first impression of backgammon was probably like a lot of people; it looked like a confusing piece of art on the back of my checkers board.  I’ve come a long way from those days.  Today, I’m a huge backgammon player, and I’ll tell you how I finally was able to understand the game: free online backgammon. It’s now possible to find backgammon online free, and many sites even offer a backgammon free download that allows new players to get a feel for the game.

 

 

Now, I’ll be the first to admit, backgammon is not nearly as complicated as the board at first looks.  The basic rules are pretty simple.  But, if you’re like me, reading a book of instructions doesn’t do much good.  I need to play to learn and that’s why free backgammon was so great for me. You’ll be surprised just how easy it is to learn how to play backgammon by doing rather than studying.

I just found a site that offered free backgammon with a simple search of “backgammon board game”.  It’s that easy; I got a bunch of results.  I checked out several of the free sights and just picked the one that was most user friendly.  Then I got to player.  Free backgammon sites are a great way to learn.  Not only can you test the instructions, but many of the sites offer free help.  Plus, when you get online you’ll meet a bunch of other players who are logged on for the same reasons.  Either they’re new and learning to player or even seasoned players trying out new strategies for the real money tables.

With free backgammon I was able to apply the instructions in real play and from that point learning was a breeze.  It was no time before I was learning strategies and hitting the real money tables to make a profit from my new pastime.
