Format Masters:
Triple Elimination over two days (Backgammon Hub format) with 7pt matches.
Saturday: Rounds 1 - 6 [7pts] (Note: Changed from 9pts because of the number of rounds required in format)
Sunday: Rounds 7 - Completion [7pts] + Last Chance
Last Chance is for all players losing in three matches in the first 5 rounds.
£20 of entry fee to the prize pool + optional Side Pools of £20, £50 and £100
Format Intermediates:
Saturday: Triple chance qualifier for Main. Four groups of 16 with 8 qualifying in each.
Undefeated 9pts, 1 loss 7pts, 2 loss 5pts.
Qualifying rounds will be in 4 groups of 16 players. From each group the qualifiers will be
2 who win their first three matches
3 who win three with one loss
3 who win three with two losses
Sunday: 9 point Main (32 players),
1st round losers to 2nd round of Consolation,
2nd round losers to 3rd round of Consolation.
Consolation with 32 players.
First 32 losers to Last Chance, Next 16 losers to Lucky Losers.
Main 9pts, Consolation 7pts, Last Chance 5pts, Lucky Loser 5pts.
£10 of entry fee to the prize pool + optional Side Pools of £10, £20 and £50.
The prize pool will be split 70/30 between Main and Consolation.
The Pool and Side Pools will be split 70/30 between 1st and 2nd in each pool.
Side Pools for the Main and Consolation will be separate.

Rules and Code of Conduct are as set down by the UKBGF here. We will be playing dice on checkers and responsible moves.
All matches will be UKBGF rated.
The competition is clock mandatory 90/12
Please bring a board and clock with you if you can.
We will be playing dice on checkers as a legal roll.
The responsible move rule will also be in effect.
There will be a match forfeit rule imposed if you are 15 minutes late for your match.
If there is any problem or dispute, you must report it to the TD as soon as it is noticed. There will be a ruling committee (RC) made up of players at the event. You may appeal the decision of the TD to the RC who's decision is final.
The TD's reserve the right to change any aspect of the format to enable the smooth running of the tournament. We may change the format of the masters flight if we need to expand the competition to more players.
Your entry is not confirmed until you have paid your registration fee. There will be no waiting list and places will be allocated on a first pay basis.
Players withdrawing after the 5th December will only get a refund if another player takes their place.
